Salmon That You Are Eating, Is The Right One For You?

Salmon sold at Publix is the subject of a new recall because of a mislabeling issue and possible undeclared soy contamination.

Around 8,450 bundles of Ocean Beauty Seafood LLC's Parmesan-Crusted Wild Alaskan Salmon Filets disseminated to Publix Super Markets are the subject of another review. The fish was sold under the Publix brand and could contain undeclared soy due to mislabeling, as per a FDA declaration.

The review was started after a shopper discovered Teriyaki sauced salmon inside a Parmesan-Crusted Salmon box. The examination by the co-packer organization that consequently occurred uncovered that a machine administrator probably got the Parmesan-crusted salmon retail box rather than the right one. Sea Beauty Seafoods says they accept just 300 of the Teriyaki salmon were miss-bundled.

No illnesses have been reported, but if someone with a soy allergy consumes the product, it would cause a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction.

The Parmesan-Crusted Wild Alaskan Salmon boxes influenced by the review are dark with white chalk drawings, gauge 12-ounces, have an UPC code of 41415302457, and a Best Before/Use By date of 021122. They were shipped off Publix distribution centers in Florida and Georgia from Sept. 18, 2020, through Nov. 11, 2020. Publix at that point sold them at its stores in the southeast.

the notice says,"Consumers that find any affected product as described in this recall notice are asked to either dispose of the product or return the product to the point of purchase for a refund".
