Puri Jagannath Temple - No More COVID-19 Negative Certificate Requires

Jagannath temple was closed from 25th March, after lockdown was announced by Central Govt.

Bhubaneswar : After a long period of almost 9 months Pujri Jagannath Temple opened for common people. It was shut down due to COVID-19 spreads.

12th Century Shrine was closed almost 9 months from March 25th.

Last month, Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) chief administrator Krishan Kumar announced that, Temple will be opened for common people from last week of December, but a standard safety program must be followed by devotee to ensure safe and smooth operation.

In a meeting temple trust with governing body has decided Covid negative certificates not mandatory from January 21,2021 till February 21,2021.

But, all the other COVID-19 protocols like wearing of mask, social distancing will continue to be mandatory in the temple, officials said. After February 21, the temple management committee will review the situation and take future course of action, the officials said.
