Explosion in Delhi, No Major Injuries

A low intensity explosion happened near Israeli Embassy in Delhi on Friday Evening.

Delhi : The blast happened near the Embassy in Delhi located at Aurangzeb Road in the national capital.

No injuries has been reported. Fire department reaches the spot and Police started investigation.

"The improvised device was found in a flower pot on road divider near Jindal House, Delhi. It appears that it was thrown from a moving vehicle," ANI reported quoting sources.

Glass pieces of nearly 4-5 cars has been found on spot. The Israeli Embassy is at a distance of 2 km from the Vijay Chowk. "A very low-intensity improvised device went off at 5.05 pm near APJ Abdul kalam road near Jindal house. No injury reported, nor any damage to property witnessed except to window panes of 3 vehicles. Initial impressions suggest mischievous attempt to create a sensation," Delhi Police told news agency ANI.

As per news agency IANS, police told that explosion happened in the heart of the city. Fire brigade, SWAT and forensic teams reached the spot as soon as happened at around 5 pm.

As a senior police officer, investigation has started. Every department is looking for more details. Police are checking CCTV footages, and any new discovery will be published further.
